I plan to plant them along the back of the fence line. They will get all the sunlight they need and will face the back of the house so we can enjoy their beauty from the comfort of our screened in porch. Who wouldn't want to wake up to the beauty of these beasts? They grow up to 10 feet tall and I can't wait to watch them grow!
I also intend on digging up the flower bed in the front yard that is up at the street. It's currently filled with daffodills, ugly yucka bushes, and weeds. The daffodiles are lovely, but they are overwhelmed and honestly, I want variety in the flower bed... not just a whole mess of yellow. I'm not really sure what I will plant there... possibly just a whole bunch of wild flowers that I can trust will return next year.
I can't wait to plant my sunshine. :)

i looooved having mammoth sunflowers in one of the places i lived. they were amazing. they lined the path to the pool. it was like walking through a glorious yellow jungle! ^_^ i think along your back fence is the perfect place for them!
